SnagIt: From Quality Software to Pain Software
I used SnagIt all my Life, even when I was a Windows user. I was so happy, when SnagIt was released for Mac. It always worked fine. But then I bought my loved iMac Retina, and SnagIt started to have bad behaviour. And seems that the producer TechSmith Corporation does nothing against it. Whats the problem? Always when I start me iMac with Retina, even on ma MacBook Pro with Retina i receive a SnagIt Helper Error Message. The only solution from TechSmith Support. Turn Off under SnagIt —> Preferences: Always keep Snagit running in the background. If you do that it works. But you have to Start SnagIt always manually to us it. What kind of solution is that. Thats the reason why I youse SnagIt, becuase it always work in the backround and its ready to use. Still after near a year when Yosomite was released still to bug fix. So if you think to buy it, live with the bug or find a other solution. I’m done. TechSmith Corporation. Sorry to see a good Software go down th drain.
